About me

I’m a CG generalist with over 15 years experience, specialising in character modelling, animation and concept design. I use 3DS Max, Zbrush, Vray, Photoshop, Painter and can animate in Maya. I’m a strong team member, creative, passionate and friendly.

For the last five years I’ve worked as Lead Artist at Flipbook in Manchester, working with and overseeing artists in a whole range of jobs, from large animations to quick illustrations. Before this I spent several years at Studio Liddell, who I joined after starting my career at Realtime UK. I’ve had to be fairly general at all of the companies I’ve worked for, but I definitely lean towards character work, illustration and animation. If the need arises I can also storyboard, light and render in Vray, set up materials and create matte paintings. I have strong drawing ability which has proven to be the foundation of my core skill set.

In my spare time, I’m usually found either watching films, playing Playstation games, socialising or out in the countryside on my motorbike.

I’m currently learning a new group of programs, such as Substance Painter and Designer, Marmoset Toolbag, Mari and Modo. I’m really interested in game engine and PBR workflows for character creation. I also always have a few personal projects on the go at any one time, some more ambitious than others!
